Graphic Design Style
Welcome to my Visual Communication Design History blog! I decided to explore deeper into the Art Deco Style as my theme for the course. I chose this style because I feel attracted to the overall visual motion and vintage look this style creates. Art Deco is somewhat simple in its flat-depth layouts but uses well-organized illustrations with bold geometric shapes, motion lines, and high color contrasts. I also find the Art Deco style interesting as it's used in not just graphic design seen within posters and book covers, but in architecture, interior design, pop culture, etc.
